The tour departs at 09:00 for the one and a half hour drive to Sri Nakharin National Park. The national park receives a tenth of the visitors of nearby Erawan, but is just as beautiful. Seven main tiers of falls cascade along an easy, well-marked hiking trail along which our guide will teach all about the area’s flora and fauna. There are opportunities to swim in a number of the pools, and often find a little corner of nature all to yourself.
Afterwards, return to the main parking area which has a number of vendors offering local Thai food, from barbecue chicken, som tum (papaya salad) and cold beverages. Head to the grassy field offering views of the surrounding mountains for a picnic lunch.
Following lunch, head to one of Thailand’s largest lakes, Srinakarin, created when its namesake dam was built in the 1980. You’ll board a local boat for an hour cruise across the lake. Fishing boats and floating hotels populate the lake, but don’t distract from the area’s beauty.
Depart for your hotel, returning around 4:00pm
